“Georgensgmünd – München” or “Train-Train-Train”

I wasn't going to write about this trip, since it was to be short and boring. But looks like I was wrong...

First of all, it was Saturday and the day before, on Friday, there was a huge party for the team and the community, because it was the closing of our WorkCamp in Georgensgmünd. And it isn't the worst that it was Saturday, the worst is that we went to bed around 2 am and had to wake up at 5, not to miss our train. Fortunately, there were kind people who picked us up to bring to the Railway station.

And so, we decided to take the train that left at 6:45 to Treuchtlingen, so that we could take a train which would bring us to München there. It was the same way we got to the Georgetown City (i.e. Georgensgmünd), so we had no doubts about our decision.

At the Railway Station we bought the Bavarian Ticket (valid for all the regional trains). It's always good to have this one, as it's cheap and you have a ticket valid till 3 in the morning for the whole Bavaria, which we weren't going to leave that day.

And so our journey has begun. We got to Treuchtlingen at 7:15 or something and there we took our train to München. It was an IC train but since its last stop was München (so it didn't leave Bavaria), we had nothing to worry about.

Well, actually, we did... As we found out 10 minutes and € 12,70 later, the word 'Regional' on the ticket stood for the type of trains (Red ones with an inscription "Regio DB” on them), not their location. But still we were lucky that the next stop was Ingolstadt, not München, as Treuchtlingen-München would cost us € 60...

In Ingolstadt we had to stay about an hour and it was a bit boring. But good for me, I found the Book Store and in there ·Ta-da-da-dam· "Neue Punkte für das Sams”, which I bought without a second thought: I was looking for it too long to think about not buying it.

After an hour in Ingolstadt, we finally took a train to München. But again there was a problem: due to repairing of S-Bahn, the train arrived in Dachau Bf. instead of Hbf., so we had to take S-Bahn or a bus to get to Hauptbahnhof, which was a bit butthurting.

Briefly, tired but happy we finally got to München. It took us about 4 hours, but we succeded=)
